Who I Am

I'm Wassim Chegham — I create tools for developers. I work at Microsoft as a Developer Advocate Engineer specialized in JavaScript, Web, AI, and Cloud technologies.

I'm a long-time Angular active contributor and Node.js core contributor. I'm the creator of Azure Static Web Apps CLI, thundr.dev, xlayers.dev, ngx.tools, hexa.run, and many more.

I was also a Google Developer Expert for Web technologies, Angular, and Google Assistant, and an Auth0 Ambassador.

What I Do

My work combines strategy and execution to make developers more productive. I help define technical direction, shape platform roadmaps, and turn emerging technologies into practical guidance and tools teams can adopt with confidence.

Recently, this has meant driving strategy around AI agents: from orchestration with LlamaIndex.TS and Langchain.js, and MCP server design to reliability patterns, governance, and production readiness. My goal is to connect long-term platform vision with hands-on implementation that delivers immediate value.

Education

I'm a graduate of the University of Rennes 1, France, where I received a M.S. in Computer Science.

Beyond Code

Beyond code, I'm a DIY, electronics, and 3D printing enthusiast. I also enjoy learning electronic music composition (EDM), drawing, and tinkering with IoT devices — from brain-controlled coffee machines to Google Assistant-powered standing desks.

Wassim works for Microsoft as Developer Advocate Engineer, specialized in JavaScript and Web technologies. In addition to being a contributor on Angular, Bazel and Node.js, Wassim is also the author of many tools for developers such as Azure Static Web Apps CLI, xlayers.dev, and ngx.tools. For his many contributions to the developer community, Wassim was a former Auth0 Ambassador and Google Developer Expert (GDE) on Web technologies, Angular, and Google Assistant, and was also formerly recognized in Google Cloud Platform. In his free time, Wassim is learning electronic music (EDM) as well as drawing and sketch noting.
